Paula KravitzAs Marketing Director, Paula Kravitz is responsible for overall brand management as well as several “connect and celebrate” programs, including the Skoll World Forum, Internet strategy and “Uncommon Heroes” short films featuring Skoll award recipients. Paula has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications and media development on both the corporate and agency sides. She most recently co-owned Blaney/Kravitz Marketing Communications, serving clients such as Genentech, Franklin Templeton, Luna Bar and Cooley Godward. Before launching her own firm, she was a Senior Brand Strategist and Client Partner with Razorfish in San Francisco, where she led or participated in the development of online brand and marketing strategies for Vodafone, Sun Microsystems, Genentech and McKinsey & Company. Prior to her agency experience, Paula worked for several years at a global health care diagnostics company, where she was responsible for developing marketing campaigns in Japan and opening markets for an innovative approach to diabetes testing in Latin America and Europe. Paula’s film and media background includes the development of award-winning print, multimedia and video initiatives. Recently, she worked with Women’s Educational Media, a social issue documentary production and distribution organization based in San Francisco, where she led an Academy Award-nominated team in producing three mini-documentaries on the history of nursing, women’s organizing and the rise of nursing political power in California. Paula earned a Bachelor of Science degree in international marketing from San Francisco State University. She also studied painting and multimedia at the San Francisco Art Institute. |
